Birth work found me through a deep calling to support women during one of life's most powerful transitions. Pregnancy, birth, and the journey into motherhood have the potential to transform us in profound ways, and I believe no woman should have to navigate that experience feeling alone, overwhelmed, or unsupported.

I believe birth unfolds best when a woman feels safe, informed, and supported. My role is to provide grounded presence so you can move through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence and trust in yourself.

Birth is unpredictable, and preparation isn't about controlling the outcome. It's about cultivating practical tools, emotional resilience, and self-trust so you can navigate your unique journey with greater calm and connection.

My approach blends:

  • Nervous system awareness and regulation tools

  • Emotional grounding and compassionate support

  • Practical comfort measures for labor

  • Mindfulness and breath-centered practices

  • Partner inclusion and preparation

  • Respect for your intuition, values, and choices

My own experiences with pregnancy, home birth, and motherhood transformed the way I understand support. They deepened my belief that every woman deserves compassionate care that honors her values, preferences, and intuition.

While my personal birth experiences shaped my path into this work, I support women preparing for home births, hospital births, birth center births, and cesarean births with the same steady presence and respect for their unique journey.

As a certified yoga teacher and trained birth doula, I bring both practical guidance and a calming presence to the families I serve. I believe that preparation extends beyond gathering information. It includes caring for the mind, body, and nervous system as you prepare to welcome your baby.

I am not here to direct your birth.

I am here to support you as you birth your way.

With warmth,

Kori Hancock
