Labor can unfold in many different ways, and longer labors are not uncommon.
During active labor, I provide continuous support. If labor extends beyond that window, we plan ahead so you continue to feel fully supported.
This may include:
A brief period of rest for me so I can return grounded and attentive
Your partner stepping in with the tools we’ve practiced together
Additional support if needed and arranged in advance
You will never be left without a plan or without support.

We discuss this together during prenatal visits so that everyone feels prepared, confident, and supported.
